Get rid of it!!

I remember making the decision to go natural and reading articles about woman doing the BIG CHOP...and telling myself NO WAY not me, but then realized that it wasn't about just cutting your hair, but it was letting go and starting fresh. Letting go and stripping yourself of the past and showing a new YOU. For those of you that are afraid to do it...go ahead. It's OK, it's self powering. It doesn't make sense holding on to "dead ends". Now I didn't do the "big chop" lol ( was too chicken) but I took it step by step. Every week-3weeks I would grab hold of those scissors and clip, clip, clip lol. Until eventually when there was about 2 1/2 inches left, I told my self "go ahead cut off the rest" ...and I did. It was short...and it felt GOOD. In no time my hair started to grow. So go ahead GET RID OF IT!!!!.....ENJOY!!

Hair CRAZY!!

So it's been about almost 2years since I've decided to go natural......and I'm having one of those days that I just want to either chop it off or relax it!! but then I think how healthy and thick its gotten and how proud my hair makes me feel. I'm still in the product junkie phase searching for the best results. So far for wash I'm currently using Organic double sheen olive oil hair mayonnaise conditioner and the Organic double olive oil moisturizing shampoo. I love how the shampoo makes my hair feels....however the hair mayonnaise doesn't give me much moisture after use. For moisture I use a few products because my hair soaks up soo much. I started using Vasmol rootz almond hair oil and African pride shea butter miracle that works well in my hair. Still in search for other products...esp for wash. I think the next experiment will be mixing pure shea butter and pure olive oil and use it not only for hair but skin. Will keep you guys posted on my journey and pic will be up soon......ENJOY!!!
